A red thread of pharmaceutical innovation - the continuum of drug discovery and development expertise - runs through Tufts University, from beginning to end. Thus, the Tufts Institute for Biopharmaceutical Partnerships was formed. It is a University-wide, global pharma partnering initiative led by the School of Medicine and the Advancement Division and charged to create and manage a diverse portfolio of global drug discovery and development alliances. Its goal is to create a global brand for the University's drug discovery and development capabilities and to facilitate pharma's innovative capacity.
The Institute HUB - an interactive web medium - is a custom-designed, developed and implemented facility fashioned to secure active collaboration between Tufts and the global and emerging pharma industries. Its purpose is to educate and engage potential pharma partners, facilitate the interaction between Tufts researchers and industry, introduce and combine sets of research expertise, and harness contributions of various institutional centers of excellence. Ultimately, the HUB will identify and qualify strategic partners with which Tufts will create business development alliances of distinction.
